GTU-Graduate School of Smart Cities Development is organizing an expert talk on “Climate Change & Sustainable Energy” by Nobel Laureate Dr Jayant Sathaye on 15th December 2016 at Gujarat Technological University. It has to be noted that the Nobel Laureate Dr Jayant Sathaye will deliver the talk on Climate Change. This is once in a lifetime opportunity for the faculties and students to have a conversation with a Nobel Laureate.
The aim of this expert talk is to create awareness about the climate change and also is an attempt to put young minds at work to innovate for the climate change mitigation. As mentioned, the expert talk will be delivered by Nobel Laureate Dr Jayant Sathaye, who is a globally recognised scientist in the field of climate change, land-use and forestry and energy sector in developing countries. He contributed to the reports of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
