On behalf of the Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) Ahmedabad Chapter, in collaboration with IGS Vadodara Chapter, Deep Foundation Insttitue (DFI) and CEPT University, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our upcoming One-Day National Seminar.

This seminar focuses on "Deep Excavation Support Systems," providing a platform for experts and practitioners to discuss innovative advancements and critical challenges in the field.

Foundations on expansive soil sites are one of the most challenging problems in geotechnical design. Many of the problems result from failure to identify expansive soils on the sites, inadequate design and construction, use of inappropriate foundation systems, and/or improper construction practices. Damage to structures and infrastructure due to heaving of expansive soils is a billion-dollar issue.
